These questions were answered and debated at the ACCA Singapore event titled 'The SMP's role in the Future Economy' yesterday. Over 20 SMPs heard from expert speakers and panellists including SAC Chief Executive Evan Law who gave the welcome address and SAC's Head of Industry Strategy and Planning Germin Ong, who presented the results and findings of the AE Regionalisation Survey and AEcensus2016.
Singapore Accountancy Commission The IVAS-IVSC Business Valuation Conference 2017 will bring together a prominent line-up of speakers from UK and the Asia Pacific, including Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Law and Finance, Ms Indranee Rajah, as guest of honour; and Sir David Tweedie, Chairman for the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC). The Institute of Valuers and Appraisers of Singapore (IVAS) was set up by the Singapore Accountancy Commission to develop Singapore into a Centre of Excellence for Business Valuation. Singapore Accountancy Commission Come 1st July 2017, there will be changes to the Singapore Chartered Accountant (CA) Qualification programme that both candidates and organisations can look forward to. Undergrads will get a headstart at getting the Singapore CA Qualification through the Foundation Programme (FP). A new assessment format for Technical Modules of the Professional Programme (PP) will provide greater focus. Practice Workbooks for PP have been introduced to help candidates pass the exams. Workshops for the Integrative Business Solutions module (PP) have been enhanced. Lastly, all organisations providing tuition for FP and PP can register as a Registered Learning Organisation.
